Beaver Country Day School

The Mission

Beaver Country Day School is an independent school for grades 6-12. Beaver offers an academically challenging curriculum in an environment that promotes balance in student’s lives. Students are inspired to reason, be curious, build upon their strengths, develop leadership skills and act effectively within a genuinely diverse cultural and social framework.

 

The Message

Beaver was launching the most ambitious fundraising campaign in its 97-year history, Genius Unleashed. The development staff wanted to create excitement and interest around the campaign as it went public. It was important to get the attention of the parents and alumni if the fundraising momentum was to continue and develop at an increasingly fast pace.

The Moment

LPA and our talented vendor partners transformed the West Gym by stripping the walls of the sports banners, building a four-sided “jumbotron” above center court and creating a dynamic, engaging environment that explored the many ways that Beaver unlocks the potential of each student. Guests traveled from conversation areas to architectural displays that showcased the new Research + Design Center under construction. Artfully presented food and wine bars dotted the room. That night, volunteer leaders announced almost $14 million raised towards completion of the campaign.

The Boston Bruins

The Mission

The Boston Bruins are one of the Original Six teams in the National Hockey League. A world-class organization, the Bruins have won six Stanley Cup championships and have a famously loyal and devoted fan base.

 

The Message

To reward the avid support of their season ticket holders, the Bruins looked to celebrate their most dedicated fans at an event where those fans could interact with their favorite players and get an up close and personal experience with the team. Liz Page Associates was brought on to work with the staff to create a fresh new fan experience to reward season ticket holders for their legendary support.

The Moment

Since 2015, LPA has created one-of-a-kind experiences for over 2,000 fans who regularly attend these hometown parties. From a Bruins Family Thanksgiving to Tailgating with the Team, LPA has designed and produced events complete with Bruins gear, branded trucks and SUVs, player photo stations, a virtual Zamboni ride, Hall of Fame artifact displays, a pie eating contest, coveted jersey unveilings and selfies with the Stanley Cup.

Harvard Graudate School of Design

The Mission

The Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) educates leaders in design, research and scholarship to make a resilient, just and beautiful world.

 

The Message

The GSD wanted to celebrate the closing of its ambitious and highly successful Grounded Visionaries Campaign. The evening was designed to thank the generous donors who had invested in the school and to introduce students who had thrived and excelled in the program as a result of this increased funding.

The Moment

The evening began at the GSD with cocktails, hors d’oeuvre and remarks by President Drew Faust. Guests then flowed into Piper Auditorium which had been transformed from a lecture hall into an elegant event space with a panoramic video display projected on the walls. Dean Moshen Mostafavi thanked the generous donors and showcased faculty and student speakers who shared their perspectives on the future of design education. A multi course dinner was served in between speakers and video stories showed the impact on student learning and how their projects were contributing to global health and environmental concerns.
